Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Lock-in ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

2. Description of Service

Lock-in is a productivity and focus application that provides:

  • Focus timer (grind sessions) to help you stay concentrated
  • Goal tracking and progress monitoring
  • Social features to connect with other users
  • Deep Focus mode to block distracting apps (iOS only)
  • Statistics and analytics about your productivity

3. User Accounts

3.1 Registration

To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information to keep it accurate.

3.2 Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

3.3 Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our sole discretion.

4. User Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
  • Harass, abuse, or harm other users
  • Post or share inappropriate, offensive, or harmful content
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other users' accounts
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
  • Use automated systems or bots to access the Service
  • Impersonate any person or entity
  • Collect or harvest user data without consent

5. User Content

5.1 Ownership

You retain ownership of any content you create or upload to the Service, including grind titles, descriptions, and profile information.

5.2 License

By posting content on the Service, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your content in connection with operating and improving the Service.

5.3 Responsibility

You are solely responsible for the content you post. We do not endorse or guarantee the accuracy of any user content.

6. User-Generated Content Policy

Lock-in has a zero-tolerance policy for objectionable content and abusive behavior. By using the Service, you agree to the following:

6.1 Prohibited Content

You may not post, share, or transmit any content that:

  • Is offensive, abusive, threatening, or harassing
  • Contains hate speech, discrimination, or promotes violence
  • Contains nudity, sexually explicit, or pornographic material
  • Is spam, misleading, or fraudulent
  • Infringes on the intellectual property rights of others
  • Contains personal information of others without their consent
  • Promotes illegal activities or substances

6.2 Content Filtering

We employ automated and manual content filtering mechanisms to detect and remove objectionable content. However, no system is perfect, and we rely on our community to help identify content that violates these Terms.

6.3 Reporting

Users can report objectionable content or abusive users directly within the app. Reports can be submitted from any post, comment, or user profile. We take all reports seriously and will review them within 24 hours.

6.4 Blocking

Users can block other users at any time from their profile page. Blocking a user will immediately remove their content from your feed, prevent them from contacting you, and automatically notify our moderation team for review.

6.5 Enforcement

We will act on all reports of objectionable content within 24 hours. Actions may include:

  • Removal of the offending content
  • Temporary suspension of the offending user's account
  • Permanent termination of the offending user's account
  • Reporting to law enforcement where required by law

Repeat offenders will be permanently banned from the Service.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its original content, features, and functionality, is owned by Lock-in and is protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Service without our prior written consent.

8. Third-Party Services

The Service may contain links to or integrate with third-party services (such as Apple Screen Time API). We are not responsible for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party services. Your use of such services is at your own risk.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Implied warranties of merchantability
  • Fitness for a particular purpose
  • Non-infringement
  • Uninterrupted or error-free operation

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LOCK-IN SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Lock-in and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising out of your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Uzbekistan, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

13. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with applicable laws.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
